I'll try to keep this brief and to the point (yeah right! =P)
Clan Meteoris has long respected Afterdark and Before Dawn as competent and competitive guilds. It was very sad to see AD sort of die off (read: split), and as such it's sad, too, to see BD die. More than just board personalities, they were both long standing icons of the server.
So, know that coming from BD already puts you above the normal every day applicant.
Here's the problem, though, and the problem that has existed for CM for pretty much as long as we've been raiding: We're one of the oldest guilds left on Blackhand, I'd like to think we've built up a fairly decent reputation for not just being a decently progressed guild, but also being a fun and fulfilling guild to be a part of. Typically, we lose members due to them simply quitting the game, not because of guild hopping...although we do get the random loot crazy shit head, those are far and few between.
What the hell am I getting at? We don't normally mass recruit. Our members are, on average, extremely loyal and devoted to the guild's progression and health. We only backfill when, basically, someone quits playing. We've never found ourselves in a situation where we needed multiple people to fill multiple spots. It's almost always we're missing one class, or one spec to fill a certain niche.
So, I'm sure many of you are well geared and experienced players, I don't think we're going to have room for most of you. I feel your pain, honestly, I know it's hard having a solid guild to depend on day after day and then to have that yanked out from under you. I, personally, wouldn't know what the hell to do if CM fell apart. Guild shopping isn't my thing.
What I can say is, we'll try our very best to get you in to raids when/if we have the room. I'll also extend an extra offering to ONLY BD applicants. I'll allow you to apply to other guilds while in Meteorites. All I ask is that you let us know in your application. While you're waiting for a response, or still looking around, you're more than welcome to stay in Meteorites to have access to guild chat and some, small, chance at seeing some raid content.
Once again, I'm sorry for your loss of a guild, and I really do wish I could accommodate you all (well, maybe most of you!). WoW has us pretty limited on what number of players we're allowed to keep on roster. I'll try, on any opportunity that presents itself (IF it does) to cycle a few of you in. There's certainly a few fights we could manage to cycle some guys in for, to stack our raid.
On a side note, if you've spoken to Genaden or "Mr. Negative" =D (just kidding, mostly!) you've probably heard that CM may possibly be moving to Warhammer when it is released. We have an entire section devoted to Warhammer that is open to the public, so if you're interested you can read up on what the game is about.
As some of you older players may know, CM has a strong PvP background and plans to progress aggresively in WAR, IF we choose to move to it. Most importantly of all, most of the content in WAR will not be number based, so cutting people out to fit into a 25 man raid will be very rare.
